Hey!
My name is JoAnn DeLeau, but since we're friends now, you can call me Jo. I was born and raised just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah: Home of the greatest snow on earth and the thickest February smog. (Gotta have something to be proud of, right?) I've been writing everything from fake neighborhood news columns to never-finished novels since I was in 2nd grade, but my real writing experience began in 2016 when I was hired on as a writer for Edvisors then-new "CampusLife" page. A fun mix of entertaining bullet point articles and informational pieces, Campus Life is a place high school and college students can go to both retreat from and find guidance through the rocky terrain of higher education. Since then, I've had 80 articles published across a handful of popular online sites. I've written on topics such as health, relationships, finance, education, and even universities where you can actually take classes on Game of Thrones. No joke. I'm always on the lookout for new writing adventures and challenges, and until the unedited chapters sitting on my desk magically come together into something resembling a novel, I'll keep working and waiting for people who give me the opportunity to lend my voice (through thousands of little black lines) to their own little space in the written world. |
